Buying Online Courses (2 Things to Note When Buying Online Courses)

Buying online courses as a blogger, entrepreneur, student or business owner with the aim of boosting your knowledge on whatever field of life you find yourself is very essential but you need to be very careful on the type of courses you buy and when to buy.

Buying Online Courses

In todays tutorial, I am going to show you 2 things to note when buying online courses as a blogger. The reason why I will be using bloggers a case study on this article is because it is something I have fallen victim when I was so desperate to learn and earn. I made so many mistakes, but the tips I am going to give you will get/keep you informed.

2 Things to Note When Buying Online Courses 2022

  • Time
  • Money

Time: When I say time many people in their mind will say, same old story. But do not be in a haste to move on to the next page.

I am going to use myself as atypical example, This year so far I have bought up to 3 premium online courses but funny enough I never had time to go through them. While the course sellers where busy advertising the course online, I was really ready to learn and not because I had enough cash to throw away but due to the nature of my offline job, family included I was unable to follow up the course I bought.

Most online courses are not bad as you may think but the issue is that you never gave it attention just as you did while it was being advertised. Now let me tell you what happened to me recently, I paid for an online WhatsApp course, 30 persons in total also paid for the course, while we were waiting for the day of lecture, the admin kept our minds busy with lots of eye catchy screenshots, videos and even success stories which was all from his blog and it was so real.

Lecture day 1 was held at 8:00 PM GMT, funny enough that day I was so busy at office and could not follow up although my data was on while messages from the group kept popping up. I got home 9:00 PM that day then decide to go through the messages and to my surprise, the comments including lectures and audio messages was up to 300. While going through the messages, I slept off.

On so many occasions, I was unable to read all the messages in the group so I decided to be going through them by weekends since I won't be going to work but unfortunately, weekends was the only time I had to spend with my family and also rest.

Finally, I decided within myself that since it is a WhatsApp group, I will wait till the admin is done with the class but funny enough while the lecture was going on, there was room for question and answer and also practical was going on as well. I missed out the whole time I was off.

The Online WhatsApp blogging course was supposed to last for 3 weeks. After 1 month, testimonies from my co-students started coming. When I saw the height they have gotten so far, that was when I decided to be serious with myself and create chance by all means but then it was too late.

My co-students have gotten the knowledge they needed from the class and have also implemented it on their blog so they also decide to a re-sell of what they have learnt so far to other novice blogger around them and boom! the whole tips and tr*cks was blown up. It stopped working.

When it stopped working that was when I started working on my blog trying to force it to work by all means. Such situation most often is the major cause why people badmouth other people courses.

NOTE: If you know that you do not have enough time/chance to post or even do one or two setups on blog/website, instead of buying online courses, kindly save yourself the money and stress by paying a professional to the job for you.

Money: Please bear it mind that before buying online courses as a blogger, in most cases you will be needing little or more money to follow it up. Most course sellers will not reveal these aspect to you because if they do, most interested buyers will back off. Most of them even include their affiliate link in their course so as to make extra change from their course subscribers.

I could remember when I paid for an online Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) course. All was going fine then I got stuck at a point. I was asked to to do some online payment in USD before I proceed to the next step.

I had to quite because as at then, I thought buying the course will lead me to my financial freedom but NO! I felt ripped instead. I used almost the last cash in my bank account to buy that course only to receive bunch of YouTube videos which are data consuming.

MY ADVICE
Do not use your last cash to buy online courses. Just as betting and other gambling companies will always advice their users to gamble wisely, if you wish to buy/purchase online course, make sure you use your spare cash to do so. If you do not have enough cash to join the big boys, kindly make use of YouTube, Google in doing your research. To avoid excessive use of data and distraction, kindly make use of night plans (MTN, VODAFONE, ETISALAT, GLO,AIRTEL) etc.
